The effect of kinesiotaping for flat foot correction in association with selected parameters of gait for a specific group of people
Michalcová, Eliška ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Title: The effect of kinesiotaping for flat foot correction in association with selected parameters of gait for a specific group of people Objectives: The primary objective of this experiment was to determine whether and to what extent the application of kinesio tape to flat foot (utilising a functional correction technique) can influence the positioning of the specific segments of the body and thereby implement change to walking stereotype. Methods: Biomechanical measurement of the gait of eleven specifically selected people with the clinical symptoms of flat foot was implemented. First we recorded measurements prior to the intervention and then again, subsequent to the application of kinesio tape for a defined period. Probands retained the tape in place for the following four days and then the measuring was repeated both prior and subsequent to the removal of the tape. To determine any potential changes to the statics, initially the measuring of the postural stability prior to the intervention was first implemented in the experiment and subsequently again when the kinesio tape was removed after it had been worn for four days. This measurement was carried out using the Footscan apparatus (RSscan International, Belgium) and any potential differences in six variant modes of posture were determined....

Use of thermal paging camera in evaluation of kinezio taping impal on shoulder girdle for female volleyvall players
Pillerová, Kateřina ; Lopot, František (advisor) ; Kubový, Petr (referee)
Title Use of thermal imaging camera in evaluation of kinezio taping impact on shoulder girdle for female volleyball players Objectives Aim of this diploma thesis is to find out how kinezio taping affects the temperature of shoulder girdle during the physical load at female volleyball players' smash Methods The thesis is devided into theoretical part which serves as a basic for research in the second empirical part. The complex will consist of a total of 16 female volleyball players. During the measurement we will examine the effect of kinezio taping on the temperature change of shoulder girdle during the physical activity using the thermal camera before and after a physical activity. And at the remaining eight players we eill record the values before and after physical activity without apllied kinezio tape. Results Using the thermal imaging camera we found out that after application of kinezio tape the temperature in the shoulder girdle at rest raises gradually. The increase of temperature during physical load is in the reporting period lower with applied kinezio tape. Keywords Thermal camera, kinezio taping, shoulder girdle, temperature, blood flow. BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Name and surname: Barbora Veličková Supervisor: Bc. Tereza Chalupská Opponent: Title: The effect of kineziotape on ankle joint in patients with cerebrovascular accident - objectivisation by a footscan Key words: kineziotaping, ankle joint, cerebrovascular accident, Footscan® Abstract: This bachelor thesis is focused on on the effect of kineziotape on ankle joint in patients with cerebrovascular accident. The bachelor thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part I follow up the problematics of patients after cerebrovascular accident, the anatomy and kinesiology of ankle joint, function of foot and gait. Also I describe the methods and effects of kinesiotaping. In practical part I used a qualitative research, processing two cases. I objectivisated the effect of kineziotape by a Footscan®. Kinesiotaping is used as a complementary therapy combined with other physiotherapeutical methods. For the purpose of my bachelor thesis I used kinesiotaping separately for easier evaluation of results. The purpose was to find out if the application of kineziotape on ankle joint in patients with cerebrovascular accident enhaces the stand stability and gait. Both patients achieved a higher ROM in ankle joint, decreasing of edema in the area of aplication of kinesiotape and one...
Use of orthotic aids for children with cerebral palsy
PIPKOVÁ, Veronika
Cerebral palsy (CP) is a complex of disorders in the development of posture and ability to move which cause limitation of activity. It is an unprogressive disease, which begins in the prenatal, perinatal, or postnatal phase of a neonate. Although the disability does not progress, complex rehabilitation may improve the clinical state. There is a difference between the spastic and the non-spastic type. The major aim of this thesis is to map the possibilities of orthotic care for children suffering from CP and to evaluate the effect of physiotherapy with the use of chosen aids. Three probands suffering from hemiparetic CP participated in the research. The aim is to answer these research questions: What are the possibilities of orthotic care for children with cerebral palsy? What changes will occur in the postural behaviour of probands due to the physiotherapy with the use of orthotic aids? The theoretical part is concerned with the issues of CP. The disease is described in a general way and divided according to the time of beginning and type. Furthermore, the diagnostics and therapy are explained. It is also concerned with spasticity and its symptoms, mechanisms, diagnostics and therapy. An overview of orthotic aids, and experimental methods like posturography and surface electromyography are covered as well. The practical part deals with a qualitative research which was completed by case interpretations of three schoolchildren suffering from hemiparetic CP. The thesis includes an initial and a final kinesiologic analysis and a description of applied physiotherapies. Furthermore, it includes the results of posturogtaphy and surface electromyography focused on the orthotic aids used by the probands. The research took place in Centrum Arbida in České Budějovice and in the physiotherapy centre at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of The University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. This thesis may be used as a comprehensive overview of the given issues and possibilities of orthotic therapy for children suffering from CP.
Kinesiotaping- part of the treatment of herniated intervertebral discs in the lumbar spine
FIALOVÁ, Anna
The title of this dissertation is Kinesiotaping part of medical treatment herniated discs in lumbal area. Slipped disc belong to degenerative disease and we can observe them as an after effect of injury, too. Rising incidence has something to do with lifestyle. More and more person are doing sedentary employment and thay have got lack of motion aktivity. That result in faulty postural habits, degenerative disease of backbone and weakening of musculature. Slipped discs give rise to nerves oppression, pain radiation, painful movement or skin sensitivity damage. In this case punctum diagnosing and treatment are crucial. There is possible to choose both surgical and conservative medical treatment. I have attended to conservative therapy. Theoretical part give undivided attention to lumbar spine anatomy, classification and treatment prolapsed disc in this area. Kinesiotaping as a technique is specify. In addition are mention some extra procedure we can use. My primary aim was to describe theoretical base of treament effect of kineziotaping. Secondary aim was to elaborate 3 4 case history using qualitative research. Field research took place by dialogue, then followed initial and final examination. The volunteer had to sing informed permission. This dissertation can be used both by lay and experts and improve general knowledge of kinesiotaping and slipped disc.
